Carolina Furtado Pereira da Silva recently joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Applied Mathematics Section as Assistant Professor. She received her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto in Portugal. During her pursuit of a Ph.D, she was a visiting student at MIT partially funded by the Fulbright Program. Afterward, she returned to MIT as a postdoctoral researcher in the fall of 2020.
