Metis Design Corp. (MDC), longtime collaborator with necstlab on multifunctional CNT research, has won the prestigious “SHM in Action” industry award, announced last week at the International Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring (IWSHM 2019) for "The Most Practical SHM Solutions for Aerospace”.  MDC collaborated with Analog Devices and necstlab on this technology, which is a wireless continuum crack gage based on polymer nanocomposites.
